Clay products drying

The various drying technologies developed by CERIC allow to offer a dryer fitted to each product and each raw material.

The drying is an essential step and its perfect mastery is necessary to obtain quality products.
CERIC designs different types of industrial dryers:

  • Chamber dryer for roof tiles or bricks
  • Tunnel dryers (with or without stirring fans, longitudinal ventilation, transversal ventilation, continuous or alternated ventilation) for roof tiles and bricks
  • Anjou dryer for ventilating bricks, perforated blocks or spanish roof tiles
  • Tunnel dryer for stiff extruded bricks
  • CERIC Flow dryer for blocks.

Equipment- Process

CERIC meets the drying requirements in terms of efficiency and energy savings by developing its own ventilation equipment.
With longitudinal ventilated tunnel dryers for tiles or Anjou dryers for bricks, CERIC holds a range of performing dryers which are the guarantee of very low electric and thermal consumptions.

When the process requires the equipment of the dryers with stirring fans, CERIC has many types of equipment at its disposal: Rotalcer, Baladair, Baladoblic.

For strong pulp extruded bricks and directly loaded onto the kiln cars, CERIC has developed external stirring ventilators and specific hoods for a ventilation at the core of the loads of the products.

The last development of CERIC in terms of blocks drying concerns the CERIC Flow vertical ventilation dryer for an optimal quality of the fine wall products.
